Best self-development podcasts

I listen to many different genres. Today, I want to highlight the top 6 podcasts that simply make me feel amazing when and after I listen to them. These self-development podcasts are positive, and enriching, and will help you transform how you view yourself and life in general. They will support the growth you desire for yourself to help you reach your full potential.

1. Seize the yay

This podcast launched in 2018. The host and creator Sarah Davidson is also the genius behind the blog Spoonful of Sarah, is a successful business owner, and is the author of the 2020 book titled Seize the yay. Sarah has a contagious positivity, is funny, and is well-spoken. I highly recommend her Instagram account as well.

In each episode which lasts about 1 hour, Sarah has a conversation with fascinating guests to understand their path to finding their “yay”. You cannot help but find yourself inspired and motivated to be the best version of yourself after listening to this fantastic podcast.

2. Diary of a CEO

Steven Bartlett launched Diary of a CEO in 2017. After dropping out of university in his early 20s, he went on to found a ridiculously successful marketing company called Social Chain.

The podcast gives a unique behind the scene look at what it is like to be an entrepreneur. Twice a week, Steven has candid conversations with guests from different backgrounds, experiences, and learning. The podcast is easy to listen to and motivating, even if you are not a business owner. It is extremely humbling to learn from others that have walked a path different from ours.

3. Healthy-ish

The healthy-ish podcast is a little newer. It is a product of the body and soul website, which offers in-depth health and fitness content. Host Felicity Harley released the first episode in July of 2021. I love the structure of this podcast. Each morning, a short 10-15 minutes episode is released. Felicity has more than 20 years of experience in the media and has one of the most engaging and happy voices.

The podcast promotes a balanced approach to health by bringing experts on to discuss various health topics. These quick daily episodes will broaden your knowledge and help you make the best health decisions for yourself.

This podcast is a great reminder that we only control so much of what happens to us. It also highlights how our reactions and ways of dealing with each moments can have a huge impact on our path forward.

5. The new happy

The new happy is a blog, podcast, and soon-to-be book seeking to share a science-backed philosophy around happiness. In this podcast, the founder Stephanie Harrison teaches you how to be happy in your own life. She looks at the latest science and shares practical tips and tricks that support happiness.

Each episode of this weekly podcast is short (about 15 minutes). However, the content is deep and will promote self-reflection and lead to self-improvement.

6. The kind mind project

Last but not least is the brilliant podcast, The kind mind project, hosted by Emily Helderman. The podcast was launched in April 2020. A new episode is released about once a week, and they are easy and quick to listen to (between 15 and 30 minutes approximately).

Emily is passionate about personal growth. She discusses various topics that promote self-confidence, personal growth, and learning to fall in love with who you are for what you are. Take this podcast as your weekly self-development lesson and enjoy the continuous growth journey it puts you on.
